They are often prescribed as bi- monthly infusions or weekly self injections at the hospital or doctors office; even at home. These are the most effective types of drug that will stop the damage of the joints, thus eliminating the swelling and redness. Through this, the progression of the disease is slowed down. Depending on the patient’s particular condition and phase of the disease, the doctor may prescribe one, two or three courses of these treatments.
